A view of Sword Art Online episode 17

Episode 17 of Sword Art Online has come out, and it is another one that makes me want to flip tables, break down walls, and jump into my monitor to strangle characters.

SPOILERS START NOW

It starts innocently enough, though I can’t help but laugh at how clumsy Kirito is when trying to fly. I also have to wonder how much he told his cousin, who plays Leafa in Alfheim, about what happened in SAO, since she doesn’t recognize his screen name at all, nor did she seem to know why he suddenly was good at using a sword when they fought using kendo a few episodes back.

After Kirito manages to get Leafa to agree to take him to the World Tree, along with prying a little information out of her about the game, there are a few squee worthy Yui and Kirito moments cuddling in bed for the night. So cute!

Then, we finally, FINALLY get to see Asuna in Alfheim. Her character is named Titania, the fairy queen, by Sugou, who plays the king Oberion. This is the scene that I want to break things from, he gloats a bit about how he has her and the other comatose SAO players trapped here for experimentation, and goes on to sexually harass her a bit. I WANT HIM DEAD! THEY HAD BETTER KILL HIM WHEN THEY RESCUE HER! GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF KIRITOS ASUNA YOU SLEAZY BAG OF SHIT!

*ahem* Anyways, next week I shall give my thoughts on episode 18, and somewhere between now and then I’ll give an overview on the previous episodes of the Alfheim arc. Don’t forget to look for Hattah's cumulative review of the first Sword Art Online arc!

A taste of the insanity we offer

Now it is time to share the not-so-flip side of this blog. I am a fan of more obscure (and popular) anime, as well as a fan of lesser-known jrpg games. You won’t hear much recent stuff from me unless I am raving about a new anime or game that I have fallen in love with. I will likely rave more about the older animes, ps2 games, music, and light novels from the 90’s.

It is my duty as a contributor of this blog of insanity to bring to the light lesser known animes, bring appreciation to the music of anime, and introduce people to the light novels that many animes have been based upon. I will also delve into lesser known games, their soundtracks, and how jrpgs are much better than shooters. Hopefully you will be as excited about reading my articles as I am about writing them.

That is the end of my somewhat introduction. Ill hopefully get an article up in the next few days. It will most likely be about my current anime obsession, Sword Art Online. (WHOOOOOOOOO)

Jaa!

Time after time, a blog arises from the internet seeking to inform the masses of the latest and greatest in video games, anime, etc.  These blogs are informative, sometimes outright entertaining, and pleasant to look at.  This blog is none of those things.  As an avid fan of Anime, Tokusatsu, and Video Games as a medium; I may not be able to give you up to date information regarding the next big thing or what the studio is up to of late.  But this blog was created for the purpose of bringing the reader something, and I feel that something is personal perspective.  Extroinverse is a collective effort to connect with a community at large and bring together many passionate individuals and unite them under a flag.

The seedy underworld of oversea nerds is a vast and expansive pool of knowledge and passion culminated into a bit of an obsession.  As one of those aforementioned obsessors, I feel it my duty to express my otherwise repressed passions and spread the word far and wide that it’s okay to indulge yourself as long as you come up for air!  We hope to bring you interesting and entertaining articles about current anime and games and how they make us feel so squishy inside without getting too weird (That is, of course, unless you want it to get weird.  Then gimme a call.) and we hope you enjoy the experience as much as we’ll enjoy providing it.

Well, that’s all I have as far as introductions go, I hope you all enjoy the first article coming up in the next couple of days.  Matta ne!

Sincerely,

Hattah B.
